Ex-Bucs Starlet Travels To London, UEFA Debut Likely!
Talented South African youth international, Lyle Foster, travelled to London this week and trained at Chelsea on Monday night.
The 18-year-old striker could be set to make his UEFA Youth League debut for Monaco this evening when they take on their counterparts at Chelsea in the play-off round of the competition, and he will be hoping to feature for his side in the English capital.
Foster was named in the travelling squad on Monday as the side jetted out to England, and the former Orlando Pirates attacker will have his eyes set on scoring for the second consecutive game.
Having scored his first goal for Monaco II in the 3-0 win over Nice earlier this month, Foster is now taking aim at a starting berth at Cobham when his side faces the Blues this evening, with the winner going on to secure their spot in the knockout phase of the competition.
With Tashreeq Matthews having played for Borussia Dortmund in the group stages of the tournament earlier this year before joining Utrecht on loan, Foster is the only South African player currently left to fly the flag for Mzansi at this level.
