Reports abroad have indicated that Lyle Foster has completed another European switch believed to be worth around R17 million.
European reports have revealed that Foster, who joined Vitoria Guimaraes from Monaco last year, has sealed a permanent move to Belgian second division champions club K.V.C Westerlo.
Foster spent the last season out in Belgium where he rediscovered the form that once saw him being ranked amongst the 60 best young players in the world, scoring five goals and registering four assists in 25 games for the Belgian outfit.
The club has made their intention of holding onto the man born in Noordgesig on a permanent basis and it appears that they have now succeeded after forking out a fee understood to be in the region of €1 million (±R16.9 million).
According to the reports, Westerlo initially put in an offer of around €800,000 (±R13.5 million), however, with Guimaraes currently undergoing a financial restructuring, they were keen to recoup the €1.2 million (±R20.3 million) they spent in getting him from Monaco.
Foster, who has found himself back in the reckoning at Bafana Bafana under coach Hugo Broos, recently returned to Mzansi where he is enjoying some much needed down time after what has been a taxing season in Belgium.
