Breaking: Bafana's Singh Lands Euro Move
It’s time for the next step in Luther Singh’s career after the young attacker secured a move away from Braga – even if just for the season – today.
The 22-year-old attacker spent last season on loan with Chaves in the Portuguese top-flight, and there looked to be some hope for his season after he was registered as part of Braga’s UEFA Europa League squad for the 2019/20 campaign.
Now, however, it has been confirmed that the South African international will be spending the season with Moreirense as they look to utilise his services over the next nine months, and Singh will no doubt be eager to show his mother club what they’re missing.
A statement, translated from the club’s official website, said, “Moreirense Futebol Clube - Futebol SAD informs that agreement has been reached with striker Luther Sing to reinforce the squad until the end of the season on loan from SC Braga.
“Luther is a young international from South Africa, 22 years old, measuring 1.71m and weighing 67kg. Last season he represented GD Chaves on loan from SC Braga, having played in 17 games and scoring 2 goals in the second half of the NOS League.”
Singh’s new club face Gil Vicente on Saturday, and he’ll be looking to get in the squad as soon a possible as they chase their first win of the campaign.
