Son Of Bafana Star To Emulate Father?
Lucas Radebe Jnr had to cut short a training spell in England earlier this year, but there is still a chance that he could emulate his father’s career with Leeds United.
Radebe Snr is a legend in Yorkshire after he served Leeds with distinction for a number of years, with the former Kaizer Chiefs man getting a hero's send-off when he finally did decide to call it a day.
Unlike his dad, Radebe Jnr is actually a striker, and it would appear that he managed to leave mark on the technical team in England back in August, and – as reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma – he could be on his way back there.
After recovering from the injury that he sustained back then, Siya sources have suggested that the 19-year-old could be on his way back to the club’s training base in Leeds, where he was previously training with the U23s.
While Radebe Snr got his break playing for the Amakhosi in South Africa, it looks as though his son could bypass South African local football and head straight for Europe if all things go to plan.
It remains to be seen whether, or when, the young striker will get a second bite of the cherry in the United Kingdom, but it is likely to only be at some point next year now.
