Liam Jordan Has Rejoined Sporting Clube De Portugal From Bidvest Wits
South African attacker, Liam Jordan, has headed back to Portugal after an agreement was reached for him to join Sporting Clube de Portugal for another season.
The 19-year-old, who made his Bafana Bafana debut last month, spent the last campaign on loan with Sporting as he made his first venture into European football, and clearly impressed during his time there.
Wits’ CEO, Jose Ferreira, recently told the media that he expected the teenager to make the switch back to Sporting before the window came to a close, and it has now been confirmed as the case.
Glyn Binkin, the player’s representative, told the Siya crew, “Yeah, it’s all sorted. Liam has gone back to Sporting on loan for another season.”
Binkin also confirmed that Jordan has now flown back to Portugal, with the player looking to try and get playing for the club as soon as possible now that the season has gotten underway.
Sporting II, with whom Jordan is most likely to play at this stage, are currently 4th in the Segunda Liga having lost just one of their opening five games.
