Masalesa Beats The Drop, Attracts Euro Interest
It was a good weekend for Lehlogonolo ‘Vieira’ Masalesa in Greece as his side secured their place in the Greek Superleague for next season.
Larissa have been battling relegation since the former Orlando Pirates player arrived there in January, however, having lost just seven of the fourteen games he’s featured in, they confirmed their place on Sunday afternoon.
Masalesa wasn’t able to play in the victory over Xanthi this weekend due to an ankle injury and will unfortunately miss the final game of the season, but he will be delighted to have had such an impact at the club after making the move to Europe earlier this season.
The Siya crew have been informed that interest in ‘Vieira’ is growing following his performances for Larissa over the past few months, although he does still have another year left on his contract at the club.
Larissa face Panathinaikos this coming Sunday in the final game of the season and can finish as high as 11th if results go their way.
