Bafana Striker Bags Dramatic First Pro Hattrick

Lebo Mothiba Grabbed His First Pro Contract Ahead Of Bafana Duty

By Soccer Laduma - Oct 01, 2017 09:18 PM

Lebo Mothiba had a brilliant Friday night as he scored his first professional hattrick ahead of his first Bafana Bafana camp.

Check out Mothiba with his matchball in the gallery

The 21-year-old is in a rich vein of form for Valenciennes at the moment, starting their campaign strongly as he continues to lead the line while on loan from Ligue 1 outfit, Lille.

Mothiba, who now has five goals for the campaign, has caught the eye of Bafana's Stuart Baxter, and will join his compatriots in camp in Johannesburg shortly after being handed his first call up.

His hattrick came in dramatic circumstances as he grabbed the winner as Valenciennes won 4-3, despite the fact that they were 3-1 down with 55 minutes played.

You can see Mothiba's perfect hattrick in the video below:

And check out their celebrations after the win:

Coach Baxter, here are the players you need to use moving forward. They are young and have many years to gel together: GOALKEEPERS: Williams, Khune and Darren Keet for Experince and Qualities and also hope A keeper from Up Tuks can get a pro contract, he has the height and qualities to be in the Bafana set up. He can Compete with Williams and Ajax keeper Peterson. Defence: Rivaldo, Madisha, Malepe, Mvala, Lebuse, Isaac Nhlapo, Romario Dlamini, Thapelo Morena, Reeve Frosler, Aubrey Modiba, Thato Mokeke, Denwin Farmer, MIDFILDERS: Grant Margeman, Bantu Mzwakali, Siphelele Leonard Ntshangase, Mdatsane(Baroka), Menzi Masuku, Nduduzo Sibiya, Siphelele Magubane, Lucky Mohomi, Thembinkosi Lorch, Riyaad Norodien, (Bongani Zungu, Adile Jali, Kamohelo Mokotjo for experience) Wiseman Meyiwa, Thabo Nodada, Teboho Mokoena, Maboe from Maritzburg STRIKERS: Sibusiso Sibeko, Percy Tau, Thabiso Kutumela, Kobamelo Kodisang, Lyle Foster, Judas Moseamedi, Gift Motupa, Thabo Mnyamane. Lebo is quite the player we've always been lacking through the year's he can play as a target man due to his aerial abilities he can easily bury any cross coming from our winger's,he's also good at keeping position that is holding the ball he can win aerial battles for me he's a rare tallent given his height and and body for me he's that type of player who can cause all sorts of problems for the defender's and score goals furthermore he's just 21 year's he's got a lot to offer and learn at the same time.

@indidanee Pitso & Kekana competed with unknown factors hence they won these unknown awards. I thought they competed in Gauteng Sports Awards with the likes of Wydad team players. When did Pitso and his Dunusas landed in Mzantsi from Morocco? What is going to happen to the tickets he bought for his team to the CAF Semifinals? this is pure wasteful expenditure, Pitso is a domkop, he counted chicken before they hatched.

Congrats boy! come and boost BB. In year 2000 we were at position 20 in World FIFA Rankings, those were the times where our National Team had efficient Coaches like Clive Baker, Dr Jomo Sono & Trott Moloto, they further won Gold, Silver & Bronze Awards for Mzantsi BB in CAF Competitions respectively, as a country we fell from HERO position 20 in FIFA Rankings to ZERO position 80 in FIFA Rankings

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and captain Hlompho Kekana were among the winners at the Gauteng Sports Awards at SilverStar Casino in Krugersdorp on Sunday night. Mosimane was named Coach of the Year, beating Golden Lions rugby tactician Johannes Nthooro Mongalo and Kelsey White of Central Gauteng Water Polo. Kekana won the Sports Personality of the Year accolade ahead of Banyana Banyana star Janine van Wyk - who was denied the Sportwoman of the Year gong by Tanita Ramburuth Hurt - and athletes Luvo Manyonga and Sheldon Thomas. Kekan missed out on the Sportman of the Year prize to rower Lawrence Brittian. Sundowns were also crowned Sports Team of the Year, amid competition from the Lions and Wits Tang Soo Do (martial arts), following their CAF Champions League heroics last season.
