Al Ahly have issued a crucial update on the fitness of South African winger Percy Tau, who continues to work his way back to full fitness.

Tau will miss Bafana Bafana’s crucial back-to-back FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia after being ruled out through injury, but it is not all bad news for the 27-year-old.
His club announced via their official website that the Lion of Judah has returned to full training with his new teammates.
“Our South African winger, Percu Tau, participated in the team’s full training session on Monday at El Tetsh. Tau completed fitness exercises and took part in several training drills with the ball.The Red Eagles continued their preparations for the opening game of the 2021-2022 CAF Champions League campaign against Niger’s Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie Nationale (USGN),” the club said in a statement.
Tau joined Al Ahly from Brighton and Hove Albion on a deal reported to be worth around R32m last month; however he is yet to make his debut for coach Pitso Mosimane’s men although indications are that he could be closing in on his first appearance for the club in the coming weeks.
