The 25-year-old Bafana Bafana international took the game by the scruff of the neck as he ran at the Nantes defence on Sunday night, pushing the ball wide before flicking a delightful chip over the opposition defence and into the net.
Dolly was playing his 19th game of the season for the Ligue 1 outfit and has now directly contributed to three goals given his two assists against Amiens and Angers.
Speaking to the club’s official social media pages after the victory over Nantes, Dolly said, “It’s my first goal in Montpellier colours, here in France, and it’s been while. I’ve been working hard and it paid off today, I’m just happy that I contributed to the team’s success and that we got the three points today.
“It’s one of the most special goals of my career, it’s my first one here after so many games and these sort of goals only come once in a while. I was lucky enough that the ball went in.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man also believes that he is growing as a player in France, saying, “The more I’ve played this season, the more I’ve got my confidence back. I’ve started shooting outside the box… The coach saying that I’m going to play has given me the confidence that I need, it was building up and I think I can grow from here. There’s more to come.”

Meanwhile, Bongani Zungu played a big role for Amiens as they drew 2-2 with Paris Saint-Germain to secure their top-flight status, and Lebo Mothiba was on the field for 71 minutes as Lille boosted their chances of survival with a huge 3-2 victory over fellow strugglers, Toulouse.
