The 26-year-old played a starring role in the victory, drilling home the opening goal from outside the box in the 13th minute after being teed up by Neal Maupay.

Mokotjo was taken off in the 77th minute with the game already won, leaving the field with 49 touches, 35 passes (2 key) and a pass completion of 74%.

The South African has now played in 23 games for the Bees this season as he undergoes his debut campaign in England, and has missed just two of their last 14 Championship matches.

Brentford now have 15 games left to play as they continue their push for a play-off spot, and with Dean Smith's side just six points away from the sixth place, a promotion push is still on the cards for Mokotjo and his team.
