Dikgacoi Hails Bafana's Afcon Qualification

England-based South African international, Kagisho Dikgacoi, has hailed the national team players following Bafana Bafana's successful qualification for next year's Afcon finals in Equatorial Guinea which commences on January 17.

Talking to the Siya crew at OR Tambo International Airport this morning, the Cardiff City midfielder said coach Shakes Mashaba and the players have done very well.

"We are all proud of the team. They have done very well. We deserve to be in the finals as they have played very well throughout the qualifiers. As for drawing with Nigeria, it was a great result as they have failed to beat us home and away in these qualifiers."

When asked about his rehabilitation progress, 'KG' who is currently nursing an injury at his English Championship side, is in the country for a short while.

"As for my injury I will be back in February. I am just here (in SA) for a short break and I am going back to England next week, " the former Crystal Palace midfielder concluded.

The former Golden Arrows anchorman will hope to get back to action sooner rather than later as they seek an immediate return to the English Premier League next season after being relegated in the last campaign.
