The Siya crew reported earlier this month that the 31-year-old could have his contract terminated after dropping down the pecking order in Wales, with injuries plaguing his time with the English Championship outfit.
Now, after discussions with the Bluebirds, it has been confirmed that he is on his way out and will now be on the lookout for a new club.
The club’s statement read:
Cardiff City can confirm that Kagisho Dikgacoi’s contract with the club has been terminated by mutual agreement. The player leaves Cardiff City with immediate effect.
We would like to thank Kagisho for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future.
It is thought that Kaizer Chiefs have been monitoring KG's situation, and may be tempted to make a move to bring him back to South Africa now that he is a free agent.
