SA Starlet On Brink Of French Debut…

One of South Africa’s talented teenagers is on the brink of making his senior debut for French giants, Monaco, after being named in their matchday squad for tonight’s big game.
Lyle Foster, who has been used regularly throughout Monaco’s preseason preparations, has been named as one of just two attackers in Leonardo Jardim’s 20-man squad for the clash against Olympique Lyonnais, with the club looking to get off to a flyer in their Ligue 1 opener.
Foster recently scored against Valencia as he looked to stake his claim for a first team spot for 2019/20, and he looks to have made some kind of impression on Jardim in order for him to make it as part of the group for this evening.
The 18-year-old will be looking to make this season his breakout campaign in Europe after spending the last six months with Monaco’s reserve side, and with a possible exit on the cards for Radamel Falcao, he could get more chances to shine than what he may have expected.
Monaco and Lyon will lock horns at 20h45 this evening, and – for fans wanting to watch the game – it will be shown on DStv channel 437.
