Lebese is fresh from a career-reviving season in the USL Championship, where he spent time with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks after signing a short-term deal in January.
Lebese spent some time clubless before an opportunity in the USA presented itself earlier this year and the former Kaizer Chiefs winger grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Under coach Alan Koch, Lebese excelled, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the 22 appearances that he made for the Switchbacks in the 2020 season.
With Lebese’s Switchbacks contract coming to an end on November 30, there were doubts as to whether ‘Geeza’ would be continuing his American journey, with talk about a possible return to the PSL, gaining traction.
However, as they prepare their 2021 roster, it appears that the Switchbacks put an end to speculation when they shared a teaser via their social media pages that they will be renewing Lebese’s contract for another season.

While an announcement is imminent, Lebese will, however, be under new management next season after it was announced that Koch resigned due to personal reasons.
