Former Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Granwald Scott, helped Slovan Bratislava reach the Slovakian Cup final last night, playing 90 minutes.
The 28-year-old has settled into life in Europe nicely since making the move from Ajax earlier this year, making six league and cup starts since his debut back in February.
Now, after helping the Urban Warriors lift the MTN8 title in September, Scott now looks to be on the verge of getting hold of his second piece of silverware of the season.
Scott played the entire semifinal last night as his side beat Zilina on away goals after drawing 1-1 on the night, booking their place in the final of the competition against – probably – Trencin.
Their expected final opponents are nine points clear at the top of the Super Liga table, while Slovan are second, and the Slovakian Cup is now Scott and his side’s best chance of winning a trophy this season.
