Dean Furman came on from the bench to make his debut for Doncaster Rovers in their 1-1 draw at home to Portsmouth on Saturday. The South African midfielder, who joined Rovers on loan from Oldham, came onto the field in the 63rd minute for James Coppinger. Chris Brown had given the hosts the lead but Jed Wallace equalised with 15 minutes to go. Furman almost snatched a late winner but a sublime save from Simon Eastwood denied the midfielder a debut goal.
Daylon Claasen endured a difficult day with Lierse as they went down 3-0 at Club Brugge. The attacker came on at half-time as the visitors had already conceded all three goals by the 32nd minute, but they couldn't find a way back into the game.
Darren Keet helped Kortrijk to a 0-0 draw after a difficult run in the league where they had lost four in a row.
Anele Ngcongca would have been the happiest of the South Africans abroad as Genk romped to a 5-1 win away to Mons. The hosts had taken the lead in the first-half but a stunning second-half performance from Ngcongca's side saw them claim and emphatic win.
