South African striker Dino Ndlovu has confirmed news that could put DStv Premiership clubs on high alert.
The Bafana Bafana forward has revealed to the Siya crew that he has brought an end to time with Chinese football club Zhejiang Energy Greentown, a club he joined in 2018 from Azerbaijan outfit Qarabag.
Ndlovu, who is Zhejiang’s all-time top scorer, has not been able to return to China due to COVID-19 restrictions and now the two parties have agreed to the termination of his contract. The 31-year-old’s contract was due to expire at the end of June.
“I’ve terminated my contract. I am not going back to China anymore. So, as we speak, I am free and waiting for my agent to tell me the way forward and for my clearance. That’s all,” the former SuperSport United and Mpumalanga Black Aces forward tells the Siya crew.
Ndlovu, who is a former Mamelodi Sundowns player, had a successful stay at the club, proving to be one of their best performers over the years.
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns winger George Lebese is another player who recently parted ways with his overseas club after he was unable to make a return to the USA to join his now former club Colorado Spings Switchbacks.
Lebese has since signed a short-term deal with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
