Former Bafana Bafana captain, Bongani Khumalo is hopeful that he can make his Colchester United debut tonight, but is still waiting for his clearance from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
On Saturday, Soccer Laduma broke the story that the 28-year-old secured a loan move to English League One side, Colchester United until the end of the season.
According to Euro Sport, the Tottenham defender is hoping to make his debut for against Yeovil Town tonight, but that cannot happen until the club receives international clearance from Spurs.
Khumalo missed the weekend’s home defeat to Crawley Town and will be hoping he can get some time on the park to help Colchester break their four-game losing streak.
The defender has been given the opportunity to find some first team football, after spending most of the season playing for Spurs' U21 side.
Khumalo spent last season out on loan at Doncaster Rovers, the side Dean Furman plays for and made 32 appearances along the way.
