Percy Tau’s impressive form for both club and country have not gone unnoticed and ‘the Lion of Judah’ has managed to catch the eye of Brighton Hove and Albion manager, Graham Potter.
Tau has been in scintillating form of late. The 26-year-old scored three goals in back-to-back games against Sao Tome and Principe in two African Cup of Nations qualifiers for Molefi Ntseki’s Bafana Bafana over the past week.
Not to mention he has Manchester City great Vincent Kompany singing his praises, following his four goals in 10 matches for Belgian outfit Anderlecht, where he is currently on loan.
Tau’s performances have got everyone- including Potter- taking note, with talk that the former Mamelodi Sundowns man may realize his dream of playing in the Premier League.
Speaking to English media, Potter has revealed that he has been keeping tabs on the nippy attacker thanks to Brighton’s extensive scouting network.
"Yes, as a club we are aware (of Tau’s progress). We have a loan manager, David Weir, who monitors that really, really well," Potter told the media.
"Obviously, technical director Dan (Ashworth) does as well, along with our scouts.
"I am aware that he has been playing well, he's been scoring goals and enjoying his football so that is good," Potter added.
Tau returned to action for Anderlecht this weekend, however there was nothing he could do to prevent his side from suffering a 2-1 defeat to Beerschot.
Tau is among six stars who could put Mzansi on the map in the EPL
