Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed that Percy Tau has joined up with a club in Belgium on loan.
The 24-year-old Bafana Bafana international completed his move to the English Premier League outfit on July 20, this year, where it was subsequently revealed by Brighton that the player will be sent out on loan for the 2018/19 season.
Tau has been training with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, where it was reported that a decision was to be made about whether or not the playmaker will be joining up with the Belgium-based second tier side.
Brighton have since confirmed that the player has completed his move to Union Saint-Gilloise.
“Percy is a talent we have brought to the club for the future, and this loan allows him to play regular senior football here in Europe,” the club’s Development pathway manager David Weir said on Brighton’s official website.
“It is a significant investment for us, and we will be closely watching his progress with Union and monitoring his development over the season,” he added.
