Bongani Zungu Wants Percy Tau In Europe While France Is Showing Interest
Bongani Zungu, who currently plies his trade in the French Ligue 1, recently took to social media to advise his Bafana Bafana teammate Percy Tau to make the move to Europe, this all while the Siya crew was informed that undisclosed clubs from the likes of France are showing interest in the player.
It was reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that Mamelodi Sundowns currently have an offer on the table from an undisclosed club in Russia for the services of Percy Tau, while unnamed clubs in France and Turkey are also showing interest in the player, this according to Siya sources.
Although, sources have since suggested to the crew that it could be unlikely that a move to Europe will materialise for Tau in the current January transfer window, as the 23-year-old is currently an integral part of Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s plans to win the 2017/18 Absa Premiership title.
However, the player’s Bafana teammate, Zungu thinks that Tau should make the move to Europe.
Zungu took to his official Twitter account to congratulate Tau for being voted as the most influential young South African in sports, while also suggesting that the player should make the move to the other side.
Tau’s deal with Masandawana is set to come to an end on June, 30 in 2019 and as previously reported by the crew, Sundowns are looking to extend the player’s contract.
However, it remains to be seen whether the club will be open to the sale of Tau to a European suitor come the July/August transfer window.
