Zungu Predicts Big 2018 For Bafana

Bongani Zungu Has Wished South Africans A Merry Christmas

By Soccer Laduma - Dec 26, 2017 11:03 AM
Bafana Bafana international, Bongani Zungu, has wished Soccer Laduma’s readers well for the new year and predicts a ‘glorious’ 2018 for the South African national team.
Zungu’s 2017 went exceptionally well as he broke into the Vitoria de Guimaraes first team and went on to secure a big-money move to France, where he is now showcasing his skills for Amiens SC in Ligue 1.
Things didn’t go so well on the international front, though, with Bafana failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
With the year coming to an end, the 25-year-old has taken some time to send a message to our loyal readers, saying, “I just want to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Soccer Laduma’s readers. May everyone please be safe on the road and don’t drink and drive. God bless them all, and here’s wishing everyone a prosperous 2018.”
Meanwhile, on the topic of another year with the national team, he is confident, saying, “At Bafana, we have a good coach with a great professional mentality, and I am sure that 2018 is going to be a glorious year for Bafana.”
In 2017 he got his first goals in Portugal and France, and he’ll be hoping for even more in the new year.

Maybe there is something I don't understand about South Africa Football, what does predicting "glorious 2018 for the South African National Team" with all the challenges we are facing mean?
