Zungu To Replace Liverpool Signing In France?

Bongani Zungu Could Become A Target For Monaco

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 02, 2018 01:00 PM
Bongani Zungu’s next big move could be just around the corner, with Monaco thought to have earmarked him as a potential replacement for their star who left for Liverpool.

Zungu has gone from strength to strength since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns, excelling at both Vitoria de Guimaraes and Amiens in Portugal and France respectively as he went on to become one of the first names on Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana teamsheet.

The Siya crew recently reported that it could take an offer of around €6m (R95m) to persuade Amiens to let the midfielder leave the club, however, it does appear that they are open to him taking the next step in his career if the fee is right.

Now, as explained in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, it is believed that Zungu’s name has made it onto the list of players who could potentially come in to replace Fabinho at the club following his big-money move to Liverpool ahead of the 2018/10 campaign.

Zungu played a big role in helping his side secure their Ligue 1 status last season as he took his first steps in French football, but while Amiens would be reticent to let him leave, it doesn’t look like they would stand in his way if a mutually beneficial deal is put on the table.

The crew will continue to monitor Zungu’s situation in the coming weeks, with the ex-Guimaraes man having recently touched down back in France to begin his pre-season.

@sxivovo ha ha ha Pitso Mosimane said he wasn't ready and changed his tune after Tau posted on instagram. According to him Dolly and Ben10 were not ready either and he changed his tune yesterday in the interview. as for stupidity, I'll engage you on that part, just not today.

All those whose clubs are without coaches must sit down and never comment about other teams’ coaches, until they have one at least. Their comments are revealing their bankruptcy on the coaching front

I just like the statement ,,,, however, it does appear that they are open to him taking the next step in his career if the fee is right.,,, they will sell if da fee is right nobody will force them even zungu can't force them ,,, so Tau is taking chances

Some of us are so VERY jealous with our own number one black coach in the world by choosing not to see what he had achieved and focus on one out of many statements he said. Sir Pitso made Zungu what he is today. He said he wanted Tau to be Player of the Year; Achieved. What more do we want from Sir Mosemane. Please, Pitso, when time is right, write a book and will sell big time
