A Banyana Banyana star has completed a move to Spanish LaLiga side, Eibar.
Thembi Kgatalana who confirmed last week that her time with Benfica came to an end, has now sealed a move to newly-promoted Primera Iberdrola side, Eibar, becoming the latest addition to the Eibar Sports Society women's first team.
The club confirmed the news on their official website by saying, “Thembi Kgatlana has become the latest reinforcement of the Eibar Sports Society women's first team. 24-year-old South African forward, she is international for her country and in 2018 she was considered the best African player. After serving in the Houston Dash of the American league, Kgatalana also (featured for) Beijing BG Phoenix of the Chinese league, and Portuguese Benfica. Signature until the end of this season, in which the armored team will seek permanence in the highest category.”
Kgatalana becomes the sixth Banyana star to secure a new deal in Europe this month, after Janine van Wyk signed a contract with Scottish giants, Glascow Celtic, Nothando Vilakazi joined EDF Logrono Feminino and Amanda Mthandi signed with CDB Badajoz Feminino in Spain, Jermaine Seoposenwe joined SC Braga in Portuga and Kelso Peskins joining up with Stade Brestois 29 Feminine in France.
