The 24-year-old Bafana Bafana international is going from strength to strength in Europe following his move to Brighton & Hove Albion and his subsequent loan switch to RUSG, and he helped get the ball rolling last night as he set up Youssouf Niakaté for the first goal of his hat-trick in the Belgian Cup.
Tau went on to play 68 minutes of the game before being substituted in the second half, with his side going on to score a second and third goal to complete a big victory and secure their spot in the next round as Niakaté completed a hat-trick in a 3-0 win.
RUSG will now go on to face third-tier Royal Knokke in the next round of the Croky Cup, with their next opposition having completed a giant-killing of their own with a 2-1 win over Standard Liège on Wednesday.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man has now directly contributed to three goals - one goal and two assists - in six games since joining RUSG, and fans of the club will be excited to see even more from him as the season progresses.
