Now though, with the Bafana Bafana international set to return to Brighton & Hove Albion from his Belgian loan spell, it appears that he has played his last league game for Club with recommendations for the league to end prematurely due to the Coronavirus outbreak – with his team as champions.
AD.nl, and stated today, “The football season is over in Belgium. The Board of Directors of the Pro League has decided that the competition should be stopped immediately. This means that Club Brugge is already a champion.”
It remains to be seen what will happen with the Croky Cup final – Tau and Club’s chance at a league and cup double – but he will be delighted to add a first European trophy to his collection having won the likes of the Absa Premiership and CAF Champions League during his time with Mamelodi Sundowns.
