Bafana Starlet Promoted In Europe After Bumper Deal
Bafana's Luther Singh Has Been Promoted At Braga
Having impressed for Braga B this season, it has been revealed that Luther Singh has been promoted to the first team for the 2018/19 campaign.
The crew recently reported that Singh, who was recently called up to Bafana Bafana for the COSAFA Cup, had penned a new deal with the Portuguese outfit that would see him remain there long-term, a deal that has now been confirmed by the club.
The 20-year-old Stars of Africa graduate has continually impressed in Europe since his move to GAIS in Sweden, scoring 24 goals in all competitions since August 2015 for both GAIS and Braga B, and his mentor, Farouk Khan, has high hopes for him.
Speaking to the crew about Singh and his promotion in Portugal, the famed youth coach said, “He’s signed a first team contract now, so is officially a senior player. I believe this is the start of great things for Luther. In fact, he trained with our Academy on Tuesday, and I was amazed to see how he has matured physically, technically and mentally since his move to Portugal.”
The attacker is currently in South Africa as Bafana prepare for their first game of the COSAFA Cup later this week, and Stuart Baxter will be hoping that the talented youngster can make an impact in Limpopo before heading back to Europe for his preseason preparation.
The decision was confirmed by the club this week, stating that he has signed a five-year deal.
