Watch: Bafana’s Mothiba Scores Before Jetting To SA

Bafana's Lebo Mothiba Scored Against Monaco At The Weekend

By Soccer Laduma - Mar 19, 2018 10:55 AM
Bafana Bafana striker, Lebo Mothiba, will be turning up for national camp high on confidence after finding the back of the net against Monaco on Friday night.
Mothiba, who recently turned 22, is playing regularly for Lille since they came to an agreement to cut his loan at Valenciennes short, and got them off to a good start against the reigning Ligue 1 champions when he finished off a lovely team move.

The forward played 74 minutes for his side in Monaco but was unable to help them see out the victory as they conceded two second half goals to succumb to a 2-1 defeat.

Lille remain second bottom of the table with eight games left to play and need some more goals from their South Africa striker if they’re going to secure their spot in the French top-flight.

Mothiba put on a solid showing despite the defeat, with a pass success rate of 82%, and he also managed to get all of his shots in the game on target.

Now, with the international break getting underway, Mothiba has jetted out of Paris and to South Africa to take part in this month’s four-nation tournament in Zambia.
The Bafana camp is currently underway.
