Dolly Pitted Against French Giants In Cup Semi
Bafana's Keagan Dolly Will Face Monaco In The French Cup
Keagan Dolly’s Montpellier will come up against French giants, AS Monaco, in the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue competition after seeing off Angers last night.
Dolly was involved in the winning goal as Isaac Mbenza hit home to secure their spot in the last four, and will be hoping to keep adding to his minutes after a promising start to 2018.
The 24-year-old came on in the 69th-minute for Montpellier as they chased victory in the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final, and linked up with Ruben Aguilar as the Frenchman set up Mbenza for the winner.
Now, while Bongani Zungu’s Amiens SC were knocked out by Paris Saint-Germain, Dolly’s side will be taking on Monaco as they look to reach the final of the tournament for the first time since 2011 when they were beaten by Marseille.
The Bafana international has featured in both of his side’s games in 2018 so far and will be hoping to keep that going when they come up against Monaco this weekend and then his compatriot, Zungu, next week.
