The Four Euro Giants Watching Bafana’s Zungu

Bongani Zungu’s star continues to rise in France, with his performances for Amiens having caught the eye of four big clubs across three different countries, including the Bundesliga.

The 25-year-old Bafana Bafana international has impressed during his debut season in Ligue 1 and is set to play a big role for his side as they look to secure their status ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
There is a chance, however, that Zungu may not be with the team next season, as interest in obtaining his signature grows across the continent.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, German side, Schalke, as well as Marseille and Lyon in Ligue 1, are keeping close tabs on the midfielder's progress as the season comes to an end, with the former Mamelodi Sundowns man having recently played his 20th league game for the club.
Meanwhile, Serie A outfit, Torino, have retained their interest in Zungu following a rejected bid in the January transfer window and could come back for a second bite of the cherry when the next transfer window opens up in July.
The crew will continue to monitor Zungu’s situation in the coming months, but for now, he will be fully focused on ending the season as high up the table as possible with Amiens.
