Bafana Bafana star, Percy Tau, has spoken about his dream of playing in the English Premier League.
Since signing for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018 when he left Mamelodi Sundowns, Tau is yet to play for the club, having spent the last two seasons at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Club Brugge respectively in Belgium, while he is currently with Anderlecht for the 2020/21 season.
Tau scored one of the goals for Bafana as the South African senior national team defeated Sao Tomel 2-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday, and speaking to the media after the match, the 26-year-old addressed the issue of his EPL dream.
“I think I’ve been doing well; I think I’ve been trying my best every time. For sure, I’ve been on loan for three seasons, but I think there’s been progress in my game, and I went to Brugge I won the league. I don’t see any issues with that. But I’ve always said that there have been regulations that were forcing me out. It’s not about talent or belief, so we’ll have to see whenever it does happen, but I just have to keep on working hard,” said Tau, responding to the question from the media.
