K.R.C. Genk's Bafana Bafana right back, Anele Ngcongca has praised former Orlando Pirates star and national team colleague, Andile Jali for dominating Belgian football, claiming the midfielder “makes his team tick”.
Jali joined KV Oostende from the Buccaneers in the beginning of 2014 and has since become a key figure for his side.
Oostende have not won a single game without Jali in the Belgian Jupiler League this season, a fact which comes as no surprise to his countryman.
“He’s been the pillar of that team, especially in the middle of the park,” Ngcongca told Soccer Laduma.
“He’s been doing a great job for Oostende and you can see when he’s not there. He’s the one who’s making the team tick.”
"Anzo" also insisted Jali’s move to Belgium came at the right time and, the 24-year-old could potentially use Oostende as a stepping stone to a bigger club.
“He has stamped his authority on Belgian football and all I can say is that he has to continue,” he added.
“This was a good move for him because Belgium is a good league to market yourself in.
“It’s where all the clubs from the big leagues come to get players. I can mention many players who played here and are now playing in bigger leagues.
“Look at where the Belgian national team is on the FIFA world rankings and where those players are playing today... the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Christian Benteke and Thibaut Courtois.”
