Reports suggest that Al Ahly are lining up a shock replacement for current head coach Pitso Mosimane, although there could be a plot twist for Jingles.
Reports out of Portugal according to Egyptian website KingFut indicate that Ahly have lined up former Zamalek head coach Jesualdo Ferreira as a possible replacement for Mosimane.
According to the report, the 75-year-old has already agreed terms with the Red Eagles, as per Portuguese website, FLASH.
However, contrasting reports coming out of Egypt suggest that Mosimane could in fact be in for a lucrative new contract with the reigning CAF Champions League winners, despite fumbling the Egyptian Premier League and the Egyptian Super Cup.
According to KingFut, Al Ahly President Mahmoud ‘Bibo’ El Khatib has recommended that Mosimane, who is in the final year of his contract with the club, be handed a new two-year deal with the Egyptian giants that would see him remain in Cairo until at least 2023.
The Siya crew reported that Mosimane had also attracted interest from the UAE, however, Al Wahda President Rashed Al Zaabi has refuted these claims, stating that they have not made a R75m approach for the three-time CAF Champions League winner.
