A Zambian legend has given his evaluation on two of Orlando Pirates’ international stars.
The players in question are the Zambian duo of Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga. The strikers have battled with game time this season, in a campaign that has seen multiple changes at the helm for Bucs.
To date, Shonga has made only three starts in Bucs’ Absa Premiership campaign this season, while Mulenga has started in eight of the 23 fixtures.
Speaking to the Siya crew, former SuperSport United midfielder Noah Chivuta has given his thoughts about his countrymen, sharing his insight into the Buccaneers.
“The thing is, with Mulenga and Shonga you can’t compare the two. Shonga is (more) talented than Mulenga. Mulenga, you want to put him on just to bulldoze. He will give you goals there and there but he is not a thinker like (Shonga).
“Look, he (Mulenga) does not read the game well or is not very technical, I don’t know if you understand what I am saying,” said Chivuta.
“He’s got power and he can run but he’s not like Shonga. Shonga can shoot and he can make a good pass. What happened to them, I don’t really know. Maybe they don’t fit in the team but they are two different players,” the 36-year-old told the Siya crew.
