Orlando Pirates have been dealt a huge blow ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League match, with news coming out of their camp that one of the star players has been ruled out.
After missing the previous Champions League match against Zimbabwe’s FC Platinum last Friday due to suspension, Vincent Pule will again be missing for Bucs against Horoya AC on Saturday, this time due to injury.
The Buccaneers have confirmed that Pule picked up an injury in training, ahead of the team's trip to Guinea on Thursday.
“The team (was) dealt a major blow on Thursday morning ahead of the trip when Vincent Pule picked up an injury in training. The attacker was subsequently dropped from the travelling party at the last minute,” confirmed Pirates on the club’s official website.
Meanwhile, Bucs have confirmed that the team arrived safely in Guinea and are looking forward to the task at hand.
“Orlando Pirates jetted off to Guinea on Thursday ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League encounter against Horoya AC on Saturday. The Buccaneers arrived yesterday afternoon after enduring a long trip which saw them stop off in Dubai before jumping onto another 10-hour flight down to Conakry,” confirmed Bucs.
