Tshegofatso Mabasa has been in great goalscoring form as of late and the striker has since revealed his aspirations for a call-up to Bafana Bafana.
Mabasa has scored four goals in the Absa Premiership for Orlando Pirates this season and while there are still so many more games left to play, the striker is well on his way to challenge for the Golden Boot award.
However, with the 23-year-old looking to continue on his goalscoring form, he also has aspirations of receiving a call-up to the national team.
“It would be such a huge honour to be called up to the national team and to represent the country. I just want to make history,” Mabasa said in an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma.
“I come from Grey College in Bloemfontein. The school is known for a lot of rugby players, but when I got my first Bafana call-up, which was a couple of years ago for the CHAN qualifiers, I was the first boy from the school to play for Bafana Bafana. So I just want to continue making history. I believe my time will come in the national team. I just have to keep on working hard,” he added.
