An Orlando Pirates striker could be affected by the arrival of new signing Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu at the club in his attempt to return to match day squads and to receive regular game time this season.
As confirmed by the Buccaneers on Thursday, the club has secured the services of the 28-year-old Democratic Republic of the Congo forward on loan from AS Vita Club.
As reported in edition 1199 of Soccer Laduma, Pirates are expected to make a decision on Tshegofatso Mabasa whose start to the 2020/21 season has been delayed due to an injury.
Mabasa has struggled for regular game time under Josef Zinnbauer as he has also moved down the pecking order behind the likes of Gabadinho Mhango and Zakhele Lepasa, among other stars in the German coach’s team.
According to sources, Mabasa could be loaned out if he continues to struggle for game time on his return from injury, with his former club Bloemfontein Celtic believed to be monitoring his situation closely.
