Tyson To Pirates? Defender Makes Exit Admission…

Orlando Pirates are chasing Thulani Hlatshwayo, and with around two weeks until the end of the South African transfer window, the defender has broken his silence on the matter…
The Bidvest Wits captain has been ever-present for the Clever Boys despite talk of him moving away from the club amid interest from the Buccaneers, but last night – for the first time – admitted that he feels that it’s time for a new challenge in his career.
Wits are currently top of the Absa Premiership having picked up six points from three games since the 2019/20 campaign got underway, but there could now be increased pressure in Braamfontein after their skipper went public with the information that he’s told them his desire to move on.
Speaking to the media after the game, ‘Tyson’ said, “I am comfortable at Bidvest Wits… The window is not closed yet so anything can still happen. I’m still contracted to Bidvest Wits, and everything lies with management. Obviously I did make it clear that I want a new challenge, and obviously, like I said, the window is still open so anything can still happen.”
The 29-year-old, who is known for his professionalism, is unlikely to try and force a move away from Wits despite his admission, and – as he said – any move in the transfer window lies solely in the hands of his current employers, who have repeatedly stated that he’s not for sale.
