Orlando Pirates’ attacking department could increase in both quality and value, should they be able to bring a Bidvest Wits player on board.
Deon Hotto has been heavily linked with a move to Pirates in the past few days, although Mamelodi Sundowns appear to be leading the race for the player, after already tabling an offer to Wits.
However, Pirates are still keen on the player and could end up battling it out with the Brazilians for his signature. But how will Hotto fit in at the Bucs and how does his value compare to what the Soweto side already have in their attacking department?
The Namibian international can play on both the right and left wings as well as at left back.
If Pirates want to utilise him in attack, he would become their most expensive player in that department as well as in their entire squad, according to the market value on transfermarkt.com.
Hotto’s current market value is at €900 000 (±R16.9 million), while Pirates most expensive player in their attacking department is Thembinkosi Lorch, valued at €800 000 (±R15 million).
