Orlando Pirates have six players walking a suspension tightrope going into their match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Buccaneers will host the Brazilians in the much-anticipated Absa Premiership match at Orlando Stadium tonight.
While all six players on three yellow cards could be on the field against Downs, depending on coach Josef Zinnbauer’s selection, should any of them pick up one more yellow card they will miss the next match this coming weekend.
The six stars are Ben Motshwari, Vincent Pule, Fortune Makaringe, Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Abel Mabaso, who have all been influential in the Soweto giants’ resurgence under the German coach, as well as Paseka Mako.
Motshwari, Pule, Makaringe, Nyauza and Mabaso were in the starting line-up as Bucs defeated Polokwane City 4-1 in their previous match last week, with the quintet proving to be regulars in Zinnbauer’s line-ups.
This coming weekend, the Buccaneers will be in Orlando to host Highlands Park, who knocked them out of the MTN8 earlier in the campaign, though the Soweto giants beat the Lions of the North (1-0) in their first round league match at Makhulong Stadium in October.
