The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has provided latest update regarding Orlando Pirates star, Thembinkosi Lorch’s court case.
The 27-year-old football star has been in and out of the Midrand Magistrate’s court in Johannesburg on allegations of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The attacking midfielder allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at his home last month, and after appearing at the Midrand Magistrate’s court on September 07, the Bafana Bafana player was released on R2000 bail as confirmed by the NPA at the time.
Following Monday’s court appearance, it has been confirmed that the matter has been postponed again to November 13.
“It was postponed to the 13th of November,” NPA’s Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed to the Siya crew.
“He (Lorch) wants to make a representation to the NPA,” confirmed Mjonondwane.
Meanwhile, Pirates fans will be hoping to see their star in action on Wednesday evening as the Soweto giants will be in search of their first win of the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season against Stellenbosch FC at the Orlando Stadium.
The former PSL Footballer of the Season was a second half substitute for coach Josef Zinnbauer on the weekend’s 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in Durban.
