In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, an Orlando Pirates player opened up about current situation at the Bucs, also revealing who has been his mentor through the challenging times at the club.
Thabiso Monyane, who was promoted to the Pirates first team at the beginning of the season, has made six appearances in all competitions for the Bucs so far this season. In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma in issue number 1144, Monyane revealed that he is living his dream despite the current situation at the club, with Pirates struggling to find their form in the 2019/20 campaign.
“I’m fortunate to be surrounded by good people and having the best mentor anyone could have, Happy Jele. He guides me all the time and he’s been there and done it all with the club, so he knows exactly how to deal with situations like this, having gone through it all himself. There’s no time to be emotional or sentimental – the team isn’t doing well and I have to deliver. I need to be mentally strong, execute the plan and deliver in each and every game I play because this isn’t about my age,” he said.
