Orlando Pirates look set to grant defender Gladwin Shitolo his wish to join a team of his choice and not Chippa United.
It was announced by the club on June 21 that Shitolo would be returning to Chippa ahead of the upcoming season following a six-months loan spell there, but the player has since turned up at Golden Arrows instead.
Both Pirates and Chippa are said to be caught by surprise given that the 29-year-old featured in all but one game for the Chilli Boys when he made the switch during the January transfer window.
The logic suggests he would have been more than happy to go back to Chippa for what seemed guaranteed game time under coach Clinton Larsen.
But it is Arrows who have benefitted from Shitolo’s change of heart, and it looks very likely that his parent club may very well entertaining his wish to move to KwaZulu-Natal rather than PE.
