Rulani Mokwena could well be on the move in the near future after it was revealed that there are talks with an Absa Premiership club who has shown interest in bringing him on board.
Mokwena’s future with the Buccaneers has been up in the air ever since the appointment of Josef Zinnbauer, with the talented young South African coach having taken leave recently as the German continues to impart his ways upon the team.
The Siya crew has previously reported that Mokwena has not been short of interest as the likes of Black Leopards and Polokwane City among others looked at the possibility of bringing him on board, but up until now he’s been waiting for the right move.
Now, according to Siya sources, Chippa are very keen to try and land Mokwena’s signature as a replacement for Norman Mapeza after he moved on recently, and it is thought his representatives are in talks currently to see whether a deal can be done or not.
Things would, of course, rely on Pirates agreeing to let him go to join the Chilli Boys if a deal can be agreed, and while they have been reluctant to lose him in the past, they may be open to letting him spread his wings as a head coach elsewhere if the opportunity is right.
