An Orlando Pirates starlet who has been promoted to the first team under head coach Josef Zinnbauer has opened up about his progress.
Thabiso Sesane is a 19-year-old product of the Pirates development programme who has been playing in the MultiChoice (now DStv) Diski Challenge.
Sesane has been part of the Pirates first team since the start of the 2020/21, following his promotion from the junior ranks, along with Azola Tshobeni.
“I have learned quite a lot from the guys in the first team. Myself and Azola (Tshobeni) feel prepared to step up. I worked hard in each game (in the MDC). In fact, the whole team worked hard. We were adamant not to lose, and we all wanted to prove that we were good enough to play for the club,” said Sesane, speaking on Pirates’ official website.
“What I’d like to work on is my strength, as well as my confidence and not be afraid to step onto the field,” he said.
With Pirates’ reserve team scheduled to play against SuperSport United this weekend, the talented young star is expected to feature for the Bucs, as he continues with his progress.
