Bloemfontein Celtic could be doing more business with Orlando Pirates during this winter transfer window, with yet another player understood to be the subject of interest ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The Siya crew has established that the Buccaneers are in talks with Celtic for the services of striker Tshegofatso Mabasa – top scorer for Phunya Sele Sele during the campaign that ended early last month.
If a deal is agreed, this would add to the long list of players that have made the switch to Pirates recently or are on the verge of concluding moves.
Siya sources informed the crew last week that defender Bongani Sam was also on the Buccaneers’ radar, with the 21-year-old’s career set for another trajectory in top-flight football, having got his breakthrough via the Nedbank Ke Yona Team search two years ago.
The Siya crew has also reported that midfielder Kabelo Dlamini is expected to make up the list of new arrivals at Pirates, while defender Alfred Ndengane joined the Buccaneers in January from Celtic.
Mabasa, 22, enjoyed a rich vein of form during the early stages 2018/19 season – managing 10 goals from 27 matches in all competitions.
