Orlando Pirates have been by far the busiest in the transfer market compared to their Absa Premiership title rivals ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The Buccaneers have so far signed nine players – two short of the total number from the previous campaign – though they still have until the end of August to bring in more reinforcements as they target Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and Asante Kotoko's Yacouba Songne.

Pirates haven’t just recruited, however. Coach Micho Sredojevic has also said goodbye to 15 players, some who have gone out on loan for a second successive season and others – like Thamsanqa Gabuza – who were surprise departures.
It’s expected that a few more could still be heading out on loan as Pirates continue to trim their squad.
