Orlando Pirates will be deciding on two defenders who could be on their way back to the club as mistakes continue to cost the team points in their DStv Premiership campaign.
In their 3-0 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, Pirates captain Thulani Hlatshwayo committed a costly error which led to Peter Shalulile's goal when he lost the ball to Gift Motupa in a dangerous area, which ended up on the feet of the in-form Namibian.
However, Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer came into the Bafana Bafana captain's defence and refused to blame him for the errors that he has been making of late.
Meanwhile, speaking to journalists after the match at Orlando Stadium, Zinnbauer confirmed that the Buccaneers have been following the progress of defenders Sandile Mthethwa and Justice Chabalala who are on loan at Chippa United and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
“All players that are contracted to Pirates will come back but we don’t talk about the new season now, you understand hopefully. The focus now is on our squad, what we have and we cannot use those players in the moment. Let us play this league until it’s finished then maybe we can talk about these players,” he said.
“But they play good, we watch their games and sometimes we get the information and we have to analyse it. We will talk about them after we finish the league, I hope you understand,” the coach added.
Mthethwa has made 17 appearances in the league for the Chilli Boys, while Chabalala has played 14 times for Siwelele in the DStv Premiership.
