Versatile Orlando Pirates star Wayde Jooste, who is one of the new signings for the Soweto giants this season, has confirmed his favourite position on the field.
Jooste has fitted in like a glove at Pirates, having started in two of the team’s DStv Premiership matches, as well as both matches in the MTN8 so far.

The only match that the 29-year-old missed was owing to an injury, against Stellenbosch FC last Wednesday after picking a knock against AmaZulu in the previous match.
Having excelled as a winger at his previous clubs, Jooste has been slotted at right-back at the Buccaneers and is doing well to prove that he is comfortable both in attack and in defence.

Speaking on Pirates TV, Jooste has confirmed that he enjoys playing as a right-back where he is able to move up and down on the side.
“I’m comfortable anywhere basically and I can use my left and my right, so I can play on the left hand side, I can play on the right hand side, I can play high up the field as a winger of course and I have been used as a striker before but I’m more comfortable playing on the sides as a winger and I think now my best position right now is as a full-back going up and down,” said Jooste, speaking on Pirates’ YouTube channel.
