Orlando Pirates are set to tweak their defence while three stars are doubtful for this afternoon’s match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
Following the disappointment of throwing away their lead in the dying stages of the match against Swallows on the weekend, the Buccaneers will be in search of their first win of the new year at the Thohoyandou Stadium this afternoon although they will be without their captain Thulani Hlatshwayo.
Tyson, as the Bafana Bafana international is known in football circles, has been suspended after picking up a yellow card on Sunday, and veteran defender Happy ‘Magents’ Jele is one of the players in line to replace him in the line-up.
Meanwhile, news coming out of the Buccaneers camp is that Zakhele Lepasa, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Abel Mabaso are doubtful for the TTM clash.
Having missed the Swallows clash due to respective injuries, the trio are said to be not yet in contention for selection to Josef Zinnbauer’s matchday squads.
“As confirmed last week, Zakhele Lepasa is recovering from injury, and so is Tshegofatso Mabasa and Abel Mabaso,” confirmed the source in Bucs camp.
Good news for Pirates is that Vincent Pule is set to return after serving his one-match suspension which saw him miss the match against the Dube Birds for accumulating four yellow cards.
